Summer workshops - Biodiversity workshop

La chapelle au printemps
This event is available in
French
During the summer, the mediation team offers a series of one-and-a-half-hour themed workshops, preceded by a thirty-minute guided tour in French of the Notre-Dame du Haut chapel in Ronchamp.

Each workshop focuses on a specific theme related to spirituality, architecture, art, heritage or the environment. The visit is adapted to the content of the workshop, to offer a targeted and enriched approach to the monument.

This workshop invites participants to explore Bourlémont Hill by identifying 10 different tree species. The trees have been fitted with punching pliers (as for an orienteering race).

Each participant receives a booklet containing :

General information about the site and instructions for the activity.

An introduction to recognizing a tree by its leaves, trunk, fruit and silhouette, with a particular focus on the different types of leaves, a key element in identification.

Ten "identity sheets", each dedicated to a specific tree species. Each sheet includes the species name, a description of the trunk, leaves and fruit, and a drawing of the tree's silhouette.
