On Saturday, 9 August 2025, the Fondation Beyeler will once again host its popular summer party, where summer and art will be celebrated with a multifaceted program. The museum, Kunst Raum Riehen and the adjacent park will be open to visitors all day long. Fascinating exhibitions, a wide range of art education activities and varied entertainment for all ages will be on offer. The musical highlight of the evening is New York-based indie soul queen Joan Wasser, aka Joan As Police Woman. A classically trained violinist, she began her career in the 1990s with indie rock band The Dambuilders and has collaborated as a guest musician with Lou Reed, Antony and the Johnsons, Rufus Wainwright and Damon Albarn, among others. Since then, she has developed an unmistakable style bridging soul, indie pop and R&B – profound, intense and touching. Her live performance in the atmospheric Museum Park promises an impressive concert experience full of artistic presence, musical diversity and emotional honesty – a highlight for music lovers and new fans alike. Both the museum and the Beyeler Restaurant im Park will remain open until 10 pm on the day of the summer party. Admission to the park is free; admission to the museum costs CHF 10.

The summer party is made possible by the generous support of BLKB and the municipality of Riehen and is run in collaboration with the Riehen Cultural Office and Kunst Raum Riehen.
