Screen Dialogs - Bagus Pandega

This event is available in
German
An art and film program by Kunsthalle Basel at STADTKINO BASEL.
Screen Dialogs presents three films that deal with the extraction of raw materials that have become indispensable in the green tech industry:
Bagus Pandega's latest short film, "Putar Petir Racing Team", documents a drag race he organised in Bandung, in which his electric motorbike competes against traditional petrol-powered motorbikes.
"From Dreams to Dust", a documentary by Stephanie Tangkilisan and Muhammad Fadli, follows the life of a nickel miner and family man in Indonesia.
"Ancestral Clouds Ancestral Claims", a film by Arjuna Neuman and Denise Ferreira da Silva, takes us to the vastness of the Atacama Desert in Chile to lithium mines and uses the wind to highlight colonial continuities and global inequalities.
