Short guided tour of the special exhibition "Of Romans and Knights in Bad Krozingen" with activity "Making knights' helmets and damsels' hats"
On Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 3 pm, there will be a short guided tour for young and old with Christel Bücker and Michael Hoeper in the special exhibition "Of Romans and Knights in Bad Krozingen". Afterwards, every child can make a knight's helmet or damsel's hat. (Material costs 5 euros).

In the special exhibition in the town museum, the results and finds from Roman times and the Middle Ages can be seen, which were discovered during the excavations around the town hall of Bad Krozingen. These include Roman wells from the 1st to 3rd centuries, which belonged to the Roman inns that once existed here or were located next to the houses of craftsmen and traders. Plenty of everyday Roman tableware and much more was discovered in and next to the wells. The discovery of the remains of the walls of a medieval castle dating from the 12th to 16th centuries, which was previously unknown, was surprising. Fragments of the household goods of noblemen and knights who once resided here, including pots and bowls, as well as fine glassware and valuable jewelry, are on display.
