Concert by pianist Aline Piboule
Who were the great French and German composers of the First World War?
Whether they were famous - Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Max Reger - or lesser-known to the general public - Paul Dukas, Jean Cras, Paul Hindemith - their creations offer new ways of evoking the history of the Great War.

For the second time, the Mémorial de Verdun welcomes pianist Aline Piboule, an immense performer with a sensitive and inventive style. She has devised a program specially for the occasion, featuring classical works, both essential and little-known, which promise to be a great musical experience.

Aline Piboule will perform works by the following composers: Jean CRAS, Claude DEBUSSY, Paul DUKAS, Max REGER, Mel BONIS, Gabriel FAURÉ, Paul HINDEMITH and Maurice RAVEL.

"(Works) that demand as much power as sensitivity, and find here an interpreter worthy of them." Télérama, September 2024.

"Beyond her phenomenal power and virtuosity, Aline Piboule impresses with the accuracy of her delivery." Le Monde, July 2024.
