A Sensory Tour of the Factory: A Unique Experience That Engages the Senses
“Awakening the Senses” features events for everyone, tailored to each individual’s interests, throughout the region. Organized by the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park and running throughout the month of October, discover the region in a whole new way.
The museum is joining this special initiative to help everyone discover the region’s heritage and glassmaking expertise through two activities:
- Sensory tour of the glassworks: a unique tour that engages your senses:
Meet us on Wednesdays in October at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Based on the concept of perception while blindfolded, this original experience engages your other senses as you enter the “hot” and “cold” workshops. Guided by sound, smell, or touch, let your imagination run wild before you get your first visual glimpse!
Sensory tour: Wednesdays, October 7, 14, 21, and 28 at 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes.
By reservation only.
Combined admission including “manufactory and museum”: Full price €20 / Reduced price €15 / Family Pass €45 / Free for people with disabilities (upon presentation of valid proof).
Please let us know if you have any sensitivities to heights, noise, heat, and/or a disability.

- Free museum admission for people with disabilities during the month of October:
Located in the heart of the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park, the museum celebrates the legacy of France’s first crystal glassworks. The museum’s name, La Grande Place, pays tribute to the glassmakers, who worked as a team in a “place” (work area). The remarkable architecture showcases more than 2,000 exceptional creations from the museum’s heritage and contemporary collections. Discover the most remarkable and unusual pieces from various perspectives: historical, artistic, and technical. The museum traces a historical journey of craftsmanship around a central well, enhanced by lighting fixtures, including a unique installation featuring 120 lights. From the museum, you can also watch, through a window, the artisans at work shaping molten crystal.
Self-guided museum tour: open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Duration: approximately 1 hour.
No reservation required.
Full price: €8 / Reduced price: €6 / Family Pass: €18 / Free for people with disabilities (upon presentation of valid proof).
