For many decades, the artist duo maboart (Claudio and Ursula Bohren Magoni) have been shaping the contemporary art scene in Switzerland with important works and installations. The exhibition at the Kunsthalle Palazzo focuses on questions of transience and vulnerability, addresses the fragility of states of being and materials and contrasts this with the desire for conservation and the striving to preserve and halt processes of decay. The show reflects current global political and ecological issues and attempts to find a balance between technological progress and the preservation of ecological equilibrium.
