Portrait
Franz Leschinger is one of those artists who have dedicated themselves to realism. In recent decades, the human figure has been and remains his central theme. In his exploration of the diversity of forms, he has developed a virtuoso skill that is highly appreciated by the world ofexperts, both in museums and among fellow artists. They are happy to ask him in the Palatinate about reconstructions and restorations, be it of the Pergamon Altar in Berlin or in the Munich Glyptothek, or about collegial exchanges on particular figural challenges in their own artistic practice. In addition to his photorealistic portraits, the artist surprises us in his painterly work with landscape depictions of emotional density and exuberant colour power.
