Thirsty goods
140 liters of water for one cup of coffee - is that bad?
140 liters of water for one cup of coffee - is that bad?
The traveling exhibition "Thirsty Goods" provides an answer to this and other questions about water as a resource. The water working group of BUND Rhein-Neckar-Odenwald is showing it during the Whitsun vacations from May 18 to June 2, 2024 in the KLIMA ARENA.
We import our food and other consumer goods from all over the world. Where they are produced, they need water. Together with their water footprint, they end up on our plates and we can only guess at the story of their origins. The exhibition is dedicated to these stories - at twelve stations.
The exhibition was created by BUND Heidelberg together with the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (ifeu) and Agentur Prototypen GmbH. It was funded by the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) as part of the association funding program.
