In 2024, the Écomusée du Pays de la Cerise will present an exhibition entitled "Je mange, donc je suis" (I eat, therefore I am), designed by the Musée de l'Homme, a site of the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle.
It tackles the all-important subject of food, exploring its biological, cultural and ecological aspects. The importance of food to our health, its influence on our cultural practices and the different ways in which it is produced are all evident in the heart of our region, which has been awarded the "Remarkable Taste Site" label. The exhibition has been redesigned with a Fougerollais touch, like the icing on the cake, to reveal this multi-faceted culinary landscape.
From gesture to culture, from taste to flavor, from sustenance to economic development, Fougerolles-Saint-Valbert can live up to the title: Je mange, donc je suis (I eat, therefore I am).
