Art
Durbach
Germany
The museum of contemporary art in Durbach, collection Hurrle, opened on 10th July 2010. The latest cultural institution in the Upper Rhineregion hosts influential modern and contemporary art.

Initiator and founder of the museum is the collector Rüdiger Hurrle who has loaned his collection to the museum. The exhibitions change every six months and are complemented by varying presentations and special exhibitions.

The focus of the collection is German Art after 1945 and its precursors from the early 1920s, occasionally with a regional bias - the Upper Rhine region, including Franceand Switzerland. The new museum is located on the 4th floor of the Hotel ‘Four Seasons' and offers not only an exceptional collector's perspective but also a fabulous panorama of the Black Forest, the famous vineyards of Durbach, the Rhine and Vosges. The museum covers 1,700 square meters and welcomes guests with a museum shop and cafeteria.
