Yoan Mudry

Yoan Mudry (* 1990) will create a new project for the back wall of Kunsthalle Basel. The Lausanne-born, Geneva-based artist’s aesthetics are anchored in the visual language of contemporary pop culture. In a collage-like manner, he juxtaposes images and elements from advertising and marketing campaigns, from the worlds of music, film, and art history, as well as social media, comic, and emoji culture. His new project in public space will be his largest work to date and on view until summer 2022.
