Work & Migration

Stories from Here

Migration stories are stories from here. They are stories of our society with objects that show personal perspectives. The narrative focus is the world of work that brings people together and connects them. The exhibition brings together facts and stories - for an open discussion about immigration. They illustrate the mutual influence of people living in a country and thus manifest a common narrative.

From Homo Heidelbergensis as the first "migrant" to "guest workers" as the driving force behind the upswing from 1955 to successful entrepreneurs with foreign roots: migration shapes the world, provides inspiration for further development and shapes a country to its advantage. That is the thesis of the exhibition.
