"We were one family" The Bauknecht Company in Schorndorf

The Bauknecht factory shaped Schorndorf for over 50 years. The factory was the town's largest employer for a long time and influenced economic and social life. With Bauknecht, numerous workers from abroad came to the Rems Valley and from Schorndorf the company produced household appliances for domestic and worldwide markets. The special exhibition takes a look at the history and significance of the factory and uses the local example to show the development of a globally active company.
