THE RENAISSANCE AT THE OPERA!

Exhibitions
From
until
Renaissance humanism led people to become aware of their own individuality, looking to distinguish themselves from others. The most visible element was done through clothing.
This exhibition displays around costumes and their accessories, designed and produced by costume designers from the Opéra national du Rhin, for the production of operas focusing on Europe during the 14 and 16 centuries.
This exhibition is an evocation more than a historic reconstitution of the diverse clothing style in fashion in the European countries depending on social rank and status.
