One year before its expected reopening in December 2024, immerse yourself in the history of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, from the laying of the first stone in 1163 to the current restoration project... discover the builders of yesterday and today who, from time immemorial, have worked at its bedside.
This innovative, new-style exhibition, designed by Histovery in collaboration with the Établissement public Rebâtir Notre-Dame, thanks to the sponsorship of the L'Oréal group, combines physical scenography and augmented reality. Using the HistoPad tablet, young and old alike can scan and open the Portes du Temps to embark on a journey through space and time.
Discover Notre-Dame's vanished past, through spectacular 360° 3D reconstructions of the cathedral. Relive the construction of the cathedral in the 12th century, the arrival of the Holy Crown, Napoleon's imperial coronation in 1804, and discover the genius of 19th-century architect Viollet-le-Duc with the chimeras and the mythical spire consumed by fire on April 15, 2019.
