Norbert Bisky (* 1970 in Leipzig, lives in Berlin) is one of the best-known international painters of his generation. He grew up in the former German Democratic Republic and from 1994-99 he studied Painting at Berlin's Academy of the Arts in the class of Georg Baselitz. In 1999 he was his Baselitz's master student. For over 15 years his works have been shown in important art halls and museums. The Museum Langmatt is presenting Norbert Bisky's first solo museum exhibition in Switzerland with new works that have been especially created for Baden. Starting point is the story of the Brown family - as revealed in the Langmatt archive that contains extensive bundles of letters, diaries and historical photographs.
