The Myth of Smoke - Smoke Sculptures by Sonja Keppler
Forum for Contemporary Art
Inspired by the art of indigenous peoples, the artist Sonja Keppler develops forms from bronze and clay, which she shapes into smoke sculptures based on historical and traditional smoking vessels. In the 30-metre-long vaulted cellar of the castle, the smoking objects also become an olfactory experience. Sonja Keppler was a pupil of the renowned German sculptor Prof. Abraham David Christian at the Faculty of Design at Pforzheim University.
