Mimesis

This exhibition will trace the evolution of the notion of nature in design from the biomorphism of modern design to biomimicry, from biofabrication to the recreation of the living through digital design. The tour will bring together the great designers of modernity and will show how this new modern language draws its organic forms from nature and science. From the iconic objects of modernism in their reinterpretation of nature to the most recent design exploring a new digital "naturalness", it is a profound mutation of the very concept of nature that will be examined, in its links with technical and technological production, through the most innovative research in the design sector today.
