Markus Raetz

The Kunstmuseum Bern is dedicating an extensive posthumous retrospective to the Swiss artist Markus Raetz, who died in 2020. For the first time, the exhibition focuses on his three-dimensional works and mobiles. Since the artist defined light and shadow as the basis of his artistic work throughout his life, the exhibition allows a specific look at his oeuvre as a whole. The selection brings together central works, divided into thematic groups, and at the same time allows for numerous cross-references that have characterised the artist's multi-faceted oeuvre since the 1960s.
