Switzerland has been present in the life and work of Marcel Duchamp, since his short stay in Basel in 1912 to see the works of Arnold Bocklin, then his visit to Vevey in 1946 and finally Lausanne in 1968. As for Marcel Duchamp's daughter, her painted work has been the subject of two exhibitions, in Bern and Geneva (1983 and 1998). The Jura massif even more, with the handwritten note written by Marcel Duchamp in October-November 1912 of "the Jura-Paris road" from Étival to Paris and by the beginnings of "Etant donnés .. »(Given...)", the waterfall photographed in Puidoux which seems to flow, by a optical mechanism, into the distance of his posthumous work at the Philadelphia Museum of Art...
