Kunstkredit Basel-Stadt
Like the titular childhood game of string figures, which requires the interaction of at least two people to play, the exhibited works make clear that art does not exist in a vacuum. A web emerges between the exhibited positions and beyond. Threads are picked up, transformed, sometimes dropped: Cat’s Cradle, Jacob’s Ladder, Soldier’s Bed, Witch’s Broom. Which figures emerge?
