Karl Hurm

Poetic Realism
Karl Hurm
Hurm's painting moves the viewer by dint of its cheerful and humorous, but also whimsical perspectives. His paintings depict human and animal existence sensitively, originally, in playful gestures and changing sceneries. In the process, the boundary between dream world, memory and reality disappears.
The Würth Collection in Künzelsau has over 200 works by the artist. They form a representative cross-section of his oeuvre, which occupies an absolutely unique position in the southern German art world.
