Kai Wiedenhöfer - "CONFRONTIER" The walls of this world

Exhibitions
© Kai Wiedenhöfer
In November 1989, Kai Wiedenhöfer rushed to Berlin to photograph the fall of the Wall. Like many people, he believed at the time that border walls had had their day. This shattered dream was the impetus for Wiedenhöfer to document the border and separation walls of this world. Kai Wiedenhöfer's internationally acclaimed long-term project CONFRONTIER about the walls of this world is extremely topical. His large-format photographs show the inhumanity, but also the absurdity of these buildings which are a sign of the unsolved problems of our time.
