Underfloor heating, cargo cranes, wellness baths or fruit ice cream - even today we encounter numerous technologies, devices or everyday phenomena in our daily lives that can be traced back to outstanding developments from Roman times. The exhibition shows how the Romans managed to achieve technical masterpieces some 2,000 years ago without computers, motors or electricity.
The hands-on exhibition for young and old invites visitors not only to look at the ingenious inventions of Roman antiquity, but also to try them out for themselves: At hands-on stations on various topics, visitors can plan a Roman city, make water flow upwards, build a bridge or send Roman short messages.
