Hermann Dischler
Mediator between art and the rugged Black Forest landscape
In this year's summer exhibition, the Black Forest Ski Museum Hinterzarten, in cooperation with Galerie Meier Freiburg, is presenting over 30 Black Forest paintings and studies by four different artists. The focus is on the paintings of Hermann Dischler (1866-1935), with numerous nature studies and several representative major works by the artist on display. The exhibition is complemented by two works each by the Feldberg painter Karl Hauptmann (1880-1947), the undeservedly lesser known Adolf Hildenbrand (1881-1944), who lived mainly in Bernau, and Franz Eberlin (1896-1930), who became famous especially for his paintings and graphics of skiing.
Catalogues on Hermann Dischler and Adolf Hildenbrand are available at the Ski Museum.
