Exhibitions
From
until
The artist Dora Vetter (1901-1975) was extensively engaged with Waldkirch, Freiburg and the surrounding area. Long known as a flower painter, she trained with the Fauves at the Académie Scandinave in Paris. After a short stay in Berlin as a freelance artist, she settled back in her familiar surroundings in Waldkirch. She took part in exhibitions such as the Badische Secession, the International Women's Exhibition in Paris and Christmas exhibitions of the Freiburg Art Association. She was also a founding member of GEDOK Freiburg.
The show is a retrospective. A cross-section of Vetter's oeuvre is presented with oil paintings, watercolours and drawings, supplemented by archival material. New insights into the life of the artist are revealed.
