The Forgotten Heroes. Dornot-Corny, a Battle in the Departement Moselle
The exhibition " The Forgotten Heroes, a Battle in the Departement Moselle" (Les héros oubliés, une bataille de Moselle), in collaboration with the association "Thanks GIs", showcases one of the least known facets of the life of Jack Kirby, which nevertheless had a considerable influence on the rest of his career.
The exhibition shows an episode from the liberation of the territory of the Departement Moselle, the failed river crossing in Corny-Dornot in September, in the light of the personal and artistic experience of Jack Kirby, author of comics (1917-1994) and a soldier in the US army. Numerous objects, documents and restaged uniforms and weapons allow visitors to immerse themselves in this unknown human tragedy.
