With his versatile, sculptural and graphic oeuvre, Putze spreads his artistic wings by extending, questioning and rethinking it with site- and space-related performances. Known for his unusual, energising and nerve-wracking performances, his sculptures and drawings transport the viewer into an animalistic world that is all too human. Self-knowledge and reflection are definitely desirable and possible. The artist studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts with W. Pokorny and Micha Ullma, both Hans-Thoma-Award winners. In his wooden sculptures combined with scrap metal and found objects, he achieves a spontaneous, gestural and narrative quality of deep, sometimes cryptic humour.
