The Cabinet des Estampes et des Dessins is presenting for the first time a selection of woodcuts, copper engravings and lithographs made by women between the 16th and 19th centuries. Active at first thanks to their husbands or fathers, women printmakers gradually became emancipated. This exhibition allows us to discover some of the pioneers, such as Diana Mantuana or Electrine Stuntz from Strasbourg, probably the first woman lithographer in the world.

The exhibition is open by appointment: contactestampes@strasbourg.eu
