In the Eye of the Collector

Works from the Würth Collection

The exhibition «In the Eye of the Collector» grants in-depth insight into the Würth Collection and at the same time reflects the "eye" of the collector Reinhold Würth, who has built up the corporate collection since 1960.

The selection showcases the many, diverse processes of the art of Modernity and of the present age. It begins with works by expressionist artists such as Emil Nolde or modern painters such as Max Ernst. The main focus, however, is on art after 1960. Painting and sculpture provide insight into the development of contemporary art, both on a national and international level. Gerhard Richter, Anselm Kiefer, Christo and Julian Schnabel are represented with high-quality works. Sculptural positions are represented by Anthony Caro and Tony Cragg.
