The Rehmann Museum is dedicating its autumn exhibition to the installation work of sculptor Daniel Waldner.
In his works, Waldner deals intensively with his political, economic and cultural environment and in the manner of a poet he allows his thoughts and convictions to flow into his objects.
With precision craftsmanship, he creates works that are convincing due to their clarity of content and magical presence. The sometimes bewildering, sometimes surreal appearance of his objects casts a spell over the viewer. Ambiguous, witty and sometimes uncomfortable, but always cleverly focused, his objects question the darker sides of our society and encourage the viewer to reflect critically.
