Clean as a New Pin
Nowadays, in the 21st century, the bathroom is one of the rooms in the house that receives the greatest attention. From the design of an Italian shower to the many benefits of hydrotherapy, from a free-standing bathtub to natural cosmetics, the bathroom is indispensable, a place that is as useful as it is pleasant.
Who now thinks when turning on the hot tap that not so long ago this was a luxury? Who knows that in the 1950s only 6% of rural households had a bathroom? The exhibition « Propre comme un sou neuf » (Clean as a New Pin) shows how people in our cities and villages dealt with hygiene, body care and with the unavoidable and delicate question of the "water closet" in times past.
