"On discovering Deck's abundant work, parallels between his sources of inspiration and mine immediately emerge. Deck is strongly inspired by Oriental Art. As a result, the ornamentation present in all aspects of his work recurrently uses elements borrowed from nature, whether plant or animal. The link with nature is fundamental in my work. Through my forms, I constantly seek to create bridges between different organic worlds. I try to connect these worlds, as if everything were made of the same substance. That's why I think it's interesting to revisit the notion of ornament, to take it out of the decor and make it overflow so that it becomes part of that which is living." C.L
