Blues Skies Over Baden

Landscapes of the 19th Century by Johann Martin Morat
Exhibitions

Johann Martin Morat captured impressions of his Baden homeland in delicate yet luminously clear colours: he travelled from the Black Forest to the High Rhine, from Breisgau to the Markgräflerland, from Lake Constance to the Swiss border region. His detailed gouaches and watercolour drawings also grant insight into the settlement and cultural history of the region.
