The Art of Learning

This thematic exhibition explores the interest of contemporary artists in the processes and devices of training and transmission. Whether school-based or undisciplined, institutional or free-range, the training of individuals always involves a project of social transformation. Irreducible to a science or a method, the acts of teaching and learning become for some artists art forms in their own right, likely to nourish sensibilities and imaginations, as much as awareness and the power to act. L'art d'apprendre explores these multiple models of learning, sometimes activated within practical installations, and integrates a teaching space created by the smarin design studio.
