2049 (Re-) Inhabiting the World.
Climate change, environmental catastrophes, overpopulation, water shortage, mass migration, pandemics...
All these were accelerated up to the great upheaval. In this new world that is trying to recover from these catastrophes everything has to be learnt from scratch and, first and foremost, living quarters have to be built.
We are in the year 2049 and we are trying to re-inhabit the world.
Based on the prognoses of various scientists (climate researchers, demographers, architects, doctors...), this exhibition of dystopian anticipation asks us to imagine how our children will build their accommodation in a world where the resources and the ways of life have changed. By presenting typical homes from various parts of the world, the exhibition imagines the habitats of tomorrow.
