Marion Eichmann. Step by Step - Führung zur aktuellen Ausstellung
Events
On Sunday, 24th of September, 2023 at 11 a.m., the Städtische Galerie Offenburg invites you to a guided tour of the current exhibition "Marion Eichmann - Step by step".
The artist Marion Eichmann (*1974) works with paper. She captures the immediate environment around us in sketches and detailed drawings in front of the places and objects.
She creates her works with graphite, pigment ink and colored papers, those are cut out, arranged and precisely glued on. The relief-like pictures and objects show things of our everyday life: refrigerators, flower vases and traffic signs, as well as slot machines, cars and garbage cans.
Marion Eichmann also creates fascinatingly small-scale views of major metropolises such as New York, Tokyo, Istanbul and Berlin. The exhibition is a large museum show of works overlooking 20 years of artistic creation. More than 100 works, since the beginning after her studies White in White up to the spectacular Laundromat and the current large-scale works for the German Bundestag, allow a step-by-step insight into the technique and topic of the Berlin-based artist.
Guided tour with Renate von Heimburg
Fee 7€ (including admission)
Registration is required by email to galerie@offenburg.de or by phone on 0781 82 2040.
